I remember the days of long ago;
I  meditate on all your works and consider
what your hands have done.
Psalm 143:5 (NIV)

Trenay's aunt, Henreen, once told her that "Graduating from college will never be enough for you." Though the meaning of this statement didn't take on its true meaning until many years later, Trenay realizes now that a seed of encouragement had been planted.

TRENAY PERRY BYNUM loves to read and has a passion for hearing stories with happy endings. Born and raised in Los Angeles, however, she saw first hand how some stories could end sadly. As a survivor of domestic violence, Trenay sees the need to reach out to other women who've lived through  -- and may be living through -- distressing times.
Her personal mission is to write on subjects that are inspiring and encouraging. The first step she took was many years ago when she began to journal. What she discovered was an overwhelming desire to speak up and tell the truth about the obstacles she had overcome. The result...TRIUMPH! The Beautiful Face of Courage. Her hope is that someone will begin a journey to recovery and healing from reading the powerful testimonies in TRIUMPH!
TRENAY FROM 9-TO-5
Trenay is the founder and director of Figures of Nashville, Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and encourage plus size women to become their own health advocates. FONI encourages women to embrace themselves wholeheartedly while taking daily steps to improve their overall health. Proceeds from the sale of TRIUMPH! will be donated to FONI.

Within her community, she is a member of CABLE, a networking organization for women, and has served as public relations co-chair for the state-wide Economic Summit for Women as well as the ATHENA Award program. A long-time champion of women, Trenay has coordinated a variety of events with the goal of empowering women including  Fit, Fine and Fabulous, a health forum that featured her sister and former Oprah guest, Joychan Roberson, who delivered a powerful testimony of spiritual awakening and weight loss.

With a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Tennessee State University, her career spans more than 15 years of public relations and marketing experience. She's been awarded the Spirit of Women Regional Award, from the Women’s Hospital at Centennial for community service, and the Journalism Achievement Award from the Society of Professional Journalists (TSU Chapter). In 2004, Trenay was selected by the Lifetime Television Network and featured as a part of their anniversary tribute. Additionally, she's been featured on the cover of the Tennessean's Women Section and highlighted in Nashville Lifestyles.
